Assists the Relationship Manager in the maintenance of his/her loan portfolio. Performs due diligence on new loan requests, including preparing loan input sheets to send to the funding department, interacting with attorney and title companies when applicable or interacting with our internal documentation department when applicable, and ensuring that funding is processed efficiently. Processes loan modifications, renewals and extensions after they are approved. Assists the Relationship Manager with collection of past due loans and decisioning clients’ overdrafts. Handles research requests from clients and interacts with other departments in the bank to complete such requests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Reviews loan package approval (new loans, extensions, modifications) prior to submitting for loan documentation.
  • Requests and reviews borrower information to ensure necessary requirements are met prior to submitting loan package for loan documentation and loan closing.
  • Serves as a point of contact for borrower to address questions or concerns during loan documentation process.
  • Reviews final loan documents to ensure that they are in compliance with the loan approval and to ensure that all fees are disclosed prior to closing.
  • Coordinates the closing of the loan, either with internal contacts or external contacts such as a title company or lawyer.
  • Prepares loan file for funding, generates input sheets to send to funding and loan servicing, and generates cover sheets to build an electronic loan file.
  • Updates and submits documents to the vault using the vault log. Scans documents for loans that have already closed in order to complete loan files.
  • Reviews and monitors past due accounts to ensure loan payments are collected in a timely manner
  • Reviews and addresses exception report to ensure loan files are in compliance.
  • Processes transfers, payments, and address questions/requests from customers at various times of the day in a timely manner.
  • Review and process overdrafts prior to overdraft cutoff time.
  • Updates and revises loan approved log and expected funding worksheet to monitor flow of loans in process.
  • Assist in the credit renewal process by monitoring future maturity and line expiration reports and proactively prepare documentation for lender/client execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a lending environment including 2-3 years as a Portfolio Administrator.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and positively influence and external customers.
