This position has flexibility in choosing which two days, in addition to Wednesday, will be worked in the Bethesda, MD office.

GENERAL SUMMARY:The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager manages a team of analysts or developers who facilitate the delivery of successful business intelligence and analytics solutions. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researched and resolves complex technical problems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Develops and implements the data analytics road-map for the bank• Partners with Business Process and Integration Manager and other key stakeholders to realize the bank’s data strategy• Manages the DMR team to support the Banks reporting requirements as well as overseeing the operations and staff in their performance of daily tasks, holding them accountable and ensuring that all projects are completed within allotted timeframes. • Oversight of daily operations and maintenance, including system/content administration, server administration report development, data modeling, and all other applicable IT controls• Manages a staff to include talent development including succession planning, skills assessments, training plans, providing new challenging opportunities, coaching, completing performance evaluations and making employment decisions.• Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and develop long term strategy for various reporting solutions.• Proactive monitoring of environments to reduce service disruptions – e.g. failed jobs, system performance, capacity, etc.• Proactive identification and remediation of process gaps• Lead the implementation of a data warehouse which includes building out the infrastructure to consolidate data from many disparate sources.• Leverage internal and external data to identify opportunities for business growth

Required Education/Experience:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; Business or Statistics• 10 years’ experience implementing multiple database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and • with analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or comparable business intelligence tools• Solid knowledge and experience in various Project Management and Product Development concepts, methodologies and processes

Preferred Education/Experience:• 5+ years of banking industry experience with strong knowledge of lending/deposit products• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within financial institutions.
